When you had your original vasectomy, if your surgery was done like most men’s vasectomies were done, you were completely awake and aware during the entire process. You were given a local anaesthetic to numb the area, and then the vasectomy was performed.
Which vasectomy reversal techniques are used?
Mr Harriss, our surgeon, has done a great deal of research on the absolute best vasectomy reversal techniques, and his success rate has only gone up since he began performing this procedure. He has found that having a general anaesthetic provides you with the best possible results.
Mr Harriss learnt his surgical method, from the many vasectomy reversal techniques, whilst in USA on some specialist training. He uses the single layer method which has resulted in many babies being born as a direct consequence of his vasectomy reversals.
In addition to making you fertile once again, Mr Harriss has a secondary goal of making sure that you are as comfortable as possible. If you remember correctly, you probably experienced some pain after your vasectomy was over and the anaesthetic had worn off. While you’re asleep, you’ll be receiving strong painkillers, which will minimize your discomfort when the reversal has been completed. You won’t experience any pain, and you’ll wake up like you had just had a really nice, long nap. You will find that the entire experience will be much more pleasant than when you had your original vasectomy.
Here at The Vasectomy Reversal Centre, we’re really excited about your decision to have a vasectomy reversal, and we will celebrate with you and your partner upon the conception of your new baby. You’ll be happy to know that we offer a few different kinds of appointments for our new patients. Many patients even opt to have their consultation with Mr Harriss and their surgery in the same day.
